Eric Messner is Chief Executive Officer of Emalex Bioscience, where he leads the company’s mission to develop breakthrough treatments for central nervous system disorders. With more than 35 years of biopharmaceutical leadership experience, his extensive career includes commercial strategy, operations, and advancing innovative therapies.

Prior to joining Emalex, Mr. Messner served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Marathon Pharmaceuticals and as CEO of Anagin. He also held senior leadership roles at OPKO Health, including General Manager and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Earlier, he co-founded Proventiv Therapeutics and served as Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Operations. Following Proventiv’s acquisition by Cytochroma, he became Chief Operating Officer and helped lead the company’s sale to OPKO Health. He previously held key marketing positions at Bone Care International and Abbott Laboratories.

Mr. Messner earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University.
