Bringing over 20 years of experience in Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefit Management, and Medical Affairs, Lydia Shenouda, Pharm.D., is the Senior Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs at Emalex Biosciences.

Prior to joining Emalex, Dr. Shenouda held several Medical Affairs positions of increasing responsibility. Most notably, she spent eight years working on various gene therapies for rare neurologic conditions including spinal muscular atrophy, giant axonal neuropathy, and Rett syndrome. Prior to working in biotech, Dr. Shenouda worked at CVS Health where she led various analytics and outcomes research initiatives for a diverse book of business.

Dr. Shenouda earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois in Chicago and her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also completed a residency in Analytics & Health Outcomes Research at CVS Health.
